Carbolite’s extensive range of Laboratory Tube Furnaces is one of the most comprehensive available from a single source. Our portfolio includes tube furnaces ranging from 900°C to 1800°C, both vertical and horizontal orientations, single and three zone configurations as well as solid and split-hinged designs. In addition to the traditional tube furnace design, we also manufacture Vacuum Tube Furnaces, Rotating and Rotary Reactor Furnaces as well as a furnace designed specifically for the calibration of thermocouples.
Carbolite tube furnaces offer precise temperature control, excellent temperature uniformity and then best solution for heating small work pieces. Many of our tube furnace models combine an integral control system, but are also available with separate control systems suitable for vertical use.

Carbolite’s 1 and 3 zone, Wire Wound Tube Furnaces utilize resistive wire heating elements, which is wound around the outside of a ceramic worktube making it an integral part of the tube furnace's heating element. If your process requires the addition of an atmosphere or is likely to be contaminated by spillage, an additional worktube should be used. The thermocouple is located in a protected position outside of the worktube and the heating element, allowing the full worktube diameter to be used and protects the thermocouple from mechanical damage. These tube furnaces are available in a variety of heated lengths ranging from 5" (130mm) to 35.5" (900mm) and with tube diameters ranging from 0.6" (15mm) to 4.0" (100mm).

Carbolite’s Split-Hinge tube furnaces are manufactured in two halves and are hinged together to permit easy loading of a worktube reactor vessel or large work piece. The design affords one the flexibility to place the tube furnace around a fixed item, such as a pipe with flanges which would not pass through a solid tube furnace. These furnaces are available in either a horizontal or vertical orientation and have a maximum temperature of 1200°C. The product line includes both single and three zone designs, and is available in a variety of heated lengths ranging from 8" (200mm) to 35.5" (900mm). These tube furnaces are capable of accepting a tube with a maximum OD of up to 4" (110mm).
1200°C 1 & 3 Zone Horizontal Split-Hinge Tube Furnaces

Carbolite’s G range tube furnaces can accept worktubes with an outside diameter up to 6.5" (170mm). The range of products includes six heated lengths from 17.75" (450mm) to 47.25" (1200mm); can be provided in either a horizontal or vertical tube orientations and designed with either a single-zone or three-zone control. An integral worktube is not fitted and a separate worktube must be used. Removable tube adaptors at each end of the furnace allow rapid changes for different size worktubes.
The horizontal tube furnace models are mounted on an attractive base unit and the vertical tube furnace models are supplied with a stand kit and a separate control box.

Carbolite’s 1500°C and 1600°C tube furnaces utilize silicon carbide heating elements arranged in a heated chamber surrounding the worktube, and provide even heating of the tube surface for maximum temperature uniformity, these tube furnaces can be mounted for use either horizontally or vertically, with an optional stand. These tube furnaces are available in three different heated lengths, 7" (180mm), 17.75" (450mm), 24" (610mm).

Carbolite’s high temperature tube furnaces are available in both 1700°C and 1800°C designs. These furnaces use either a molybdenum disilicide heating element or lanthanum chromite element depending on the model. These tube furnaces are available as either a single-zone or three-zone configuration, accept a process tube of up to 3.5" (90mm) OD and are designed with heated lengths of 12" (300mm) and 23.75" (600mm).

Carbolite’s High Temperature, Split-Hinge tube furnaces are available with a maximum temperature of 1700°C and 1800°C. These vertical tube furnaces can accommodate tube diameters from 2.25" (57mm) to 5.25" (133mm) and are available in three heated lengths, 8" (200mm), 10" (250mm) and 13.75" (350mm).

Carbolite’s horizontal Vacuum Tube furnaces are available with a maximum temperature of 1200°C and 1500°C. These furnaces are capable of vacuum levels of better then 10 -5 mbar with a clean empty tube. The vacuum system and all controls are housed in the base with one end of the worktube joined to the vacuum system. Access to the tube is via the other end, which is fitted with a removable stainless steel flange. The 1200°C tube furnaces are available with a 2" (50mm), 2.3" (60mm) or 3" (80mm) ID work tube. The 1500°C furnaces are available with a 2" (50mm) and 3" (75mm) ID tube. The product range offers 3 different heated lengths - 17.75" (450mm), 21.5" (550mm) and 27.5" (700mm)

The Carbolite Rotary reactor Tube Furnace is designed for laboratory scale calcination and the production of high temperature reactions in a wide range of materials. The Rotary Reactor Furnace combines all the advantages of the fluidized bed furnace and the rotary kiln by providing both a controlled atmosphere and simultaneous agitation of powdered solids. The Rotary Reactor Tube Furnace is available in two sizes, one with a maximum capacity of 1.7 oz (50 ml) and the other with a capacity of 23.6 oz (700 ml). The Rotary Reactor Furnace has a maximum temperature of 1100°C.

Carbolite’s Portable Thermocouple Calibrator Furnace is a high stability heat source designed for the calibration of thermocouples up to 0.3” (7.5mm), with a maximum operating temperature of 1200°C. The Thermocouple Calibration Ffurnace can be used in a laboratory setting or on site, as it's rapid heat up and stabilization make it ideal for quick set-up.
